Linux n00b in need of help, again

Ok, so now I got IPCop working, but I want to install this Addons Server that IC recommended to me, but i have absolutely no f**king idea of how to go about doing it.

Help will as always be apreciated

PS. I know google is my friend, but im just lazy today

heh - well, you've entered a territory which requires you to access the terminal of your IPcop firewall.

Get hold of putty, a good windows SSH client, make sure to read the documentation of IPcop to ensure you have enabled SSH access to your IPcop box and use the password details you set when you installed IPcop to SSH into IPcop, then follow the instructions from the link you posted.

Either im a little dof right now, my browser doesnt want me to see it, but nowhere can I see any instructions, except how to upgrade from an old version or something like that.

BTW, I litteraly have no Linux experiance, so I basicaly know fcukall

Ok, clearly it was a dof moment for me, I found the instructions, thanks for the help bb_matt

If upgrading from IPCop 1.4.4 to 1.4.8, Uninstall ALL MOD's from your IPCop first as MOST of the MOD's have been rewritten.
Then copy the new file to your IPCop log in to the console the issue the following commands.

rm -Rf /addons (or backup somewhere )
tar vxzf addons-2.3-CLI-b2.tar.gz -C /
cd /addons
./addoncfg -u (ignore errors about missing files/dirs)
./addoncfg -i
The Addon-Server setup program has been renamed to addoncfg to avoid confusion with the IPCop setup program.



Further installation details abt commands are written inside the folder \addons-2.3-CLI-b2\addons\devel\HOWTO ; open that HOWTO in a text file editor and view to see what all the commands are
