Linux System Administrator
Job Description
Prominent company in the Telco and ICT industries that focus on providing end-to-end broadband solutions to Internet & Voice Service Providers has a vacancy for a Linux System Administrator with at least 2 years’ experience in the related industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Installation, configuration and support of TR-069 management system (Axiros AXESS.ACS).
• Installation, configuration and support of Linux OS (CentOS).
• Installation, configuration and support of MySQL.
• Python programming.
• Configuring and troubleshooting network management and service provisioning solutions that will require a strong networking and planning background.
• Management system hardware interoperability testing on different vendor devices (DSL/3G/VoIP/STB/IP CAMERA/ IP Phones etc).
• Providing support to the ISP technical departments on the Axiros management system.
• Staying abreast of developments in the network management industry especially focusing on the CPE WAN Management Protocol (CWMP) – TR-069.
• Provisioning and management system monitoring and support for ISP customers.
• Participate in the network architectural design of the infrastructure environment.
• Participate in the development of the process flow of the provisioning process.
Minimum Requirements
• At least 2 years related industry experience
• Computer science related degree/diploma/certificate
• Linux OS
• Python programming
• MySQL
• Network troubleshooting skills
• Good communication skills (must be able to communicate well in English – written and verbal)
• Ability to work under pressure and deadline driven
• Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle
• Telecom or ISP background & experience (advantageous)
