I've just installed pcBSD, a UNIX derivative that is also Linux compatible. It works pretty well, but I can't seem to see my phone via the USB cable. It appears to connect when the system loads. It names the memory card in the phone as "umass1" and the phone as "da1", but I can't seem to do anything with it, such as see the contacts or connect as a GPRS modem.

Anyone know of something that will do it? I know there are some bluetooth solutions, but I don't have it on this PC.

Check if it is listing the device in /dev, if this is the case then try mounting it to a directory?
