Hi all, has anyone got this modem to work under linux? It's early Telkom-issue (Marconi USB modem).

What drivers/files/etc will I need?

I tried to find drivers for that particular piece of Macaroni [with a view to getting it to work for a friend that has one, with either Smoothwall or IPCop], and I found a lot of evidence saying that there are no Linux drivers available from Macaroni, basically best to get an ADSL [ethernet] router, and donate the piece of Macaroni to some poor schmuck...

same here, also stuck, trying to use Linux, but I seems like I either loose Linux or the Marconi Modem - I guess since the modem has the Telkom logo on on it; bye bye Modem; however, for now I am stuck then, no money to buy the ethernet one now.

I am subscribed to this thread; please let me know if anyone knows anything for a Linux (Suse) driver for this modem
