Yeah if you download Lion you can perform a fresh install from USB or a disk with some tricks, but for an upgrade you have to be on 10.6.8.

I would recommend making a backup and upgrading. Upgrading works really well and reliably in OS X, so there should be no problem, but it's always good to backup first, just in case. You should have a backup anyway. Superduper is awesome for Mac backups.

Not really, spaces has been Around for a few generations already. Unfortunately they've now dumbed it down, destroyed it's functionality, and just given it a fancier name.You guys must have been starved for features![]()
