Eish, stormers hammered them. Its time to replace coach and players I reckon. 3 Years has been long enough to get somewhere.

You would need someone like Jake White to fix them but I reckon coaching a provincial team might be below his standard. They need atleast a R30 million warchest to go out and buy players. The current crop just cant do it.

i think that when they were losing games two years ago because they were a "young team" that mentality hasn't left them, its become a mindset for them

I say we get rid of the Lions and Cheetahs and give the Spears a chance. Face it, they couldn't do any worse and the feline unions have had a fair shot at it.

I'm all for Eddie Jones or Jake White coaching the lions. It's really a disgrace that such a proud team at one time, has gone down the tubes so fast.

Go Lions...... (i think)

The Lions pack is shocking. The tight five are basically immobile, and if I see Sephaka in the backline in defence one more time I will get seriously pissed off. The Lions actually have an OK backline this year, but they can't spread play and retain possession becuase the forwards aren't able to get to the breakdown if the play is moving from side to side. Also when the forwards get the ball to run with, they just form up that formation and drive, but they never get across the advantage line.

There was a major major problem with first time tackling in the game as well. The number of missed tackles was shocking.

And the other thing that was noteworthy is how the Lions can't keep most of their talented players. The number of former Lions in the Stormers team is saddening. And Lions recruitment hasn't been exactly top quality.

Out of the team at the moment, I'd be hard pressed to say that most of the team is anywhere near the required standard. We need 14 more Jacque Fouries.

*sigh* at half time, it looked like the lions might just have a chance.

We need 14 more Jacque Fouries.
my biggest concern is that he'll get tired of all this mumbojumbo and go to an other union. but like the cheetas, i think the lions don't really have the temprament for the s14

I have no idea what 1) Jano Vermaak and 2) Earl Rose are doing in the team. They are the worst players in the lions team. Petoors should just quit. His injure proneness has just immobilised his game.
