Every movie I tried to watch on my computer last night started off fine and then ran into all of sorts of lip-synching problems... The audio and video kept getting quite far out of time. I'm reasonably sure it's not the actual movies, as I tried some that I've watched before (sans lip-synch problems) and now they also start getting out of time.

I'm using GOM, and it's never given troubles before. I'll try VLC see what happens, but is there a sensible solution to this? Have you had this problem before?

If I remember correctly, GOM has an audio shift feature, to correct movies with a bad A/V sync, you may have accidentally changed some settings (it has a lot of hotkeys)

Ok thanks, I'll look at that. Or I would, but now GOM won't install... The setup just quits mid-install... So I look in the folder where it's installing to and there's a little something called killGOM... Quite dodge imo.

If you have the Kazaa Lite Media Codec Pack, use mplayer ... it has an audio shift feature.

Well I just tried running the installer from a separate location and now all seems fine...
