"There simply isn't anything else like LBP on any system, anywhere. It's a beautifully elegant and powerful creative tool that puts unlimited potential in the palm of your hand.

2. Gamereactor - 10/10

3. Pleeja Finland - 10/10
"Much was promised, and all that the game also redeemed."

"And the levels themselves, based on those generated by the game's beta test alone, are simply extraordinary. You haven't seen anything like this in videogames before."

5. Evereye Italia - 10/10
"Together with lush colors, the sympathy of Sackboy is at the forefront irretire for the player, constantly seduced and flattered by the brilliant simplicity of the forms."

Gamereator Sweden - 10/10
Gamereactor Denmark - 10/10
Game Reactor Finland - 10/10

I wonder what IGN and Gamespot will give it.

Looks to be one of the best games of the year. Maybe even GOTY if MGS4 hasn't got that.

Woohoo, nice reviews so far. Now I just hope it doesn't diapoint my personal taste in games. There are actually low scoring games that I enjoyed, hope it is not the other way around for this high scoring game like it was in the case of GTA IV. I did not like it at all and I did play quite a few missions and mucked around the city to give it a chance to pull me.

I cannot seem to understand the hype about this game.

Lets see:
- Create any level you want, but it's limited to side a scroller.
- Customisation is limitless

I think that's about it. But, what about Sackboy?
If sackboy could be customised just as much as the levels then we'd have something! Though, as it stands, sackboy is merely a doll that can be dressed with numerous sets of apparel. If he could be augmented with abilities such as melee attacks, projectile attacks, it would awesome.

Imagine re-enacting a Megaman level, or taking it higher and creating something even better...

I suppose if you really don't like the side scroller type games you won't like this, cause thats what it basically is with the added benifit of creating your own levels to for fun or challenge your friends. There is also the co-op play which I think is very important in console games these days. It is something that really sets consoles apart from the PC. When last did you invite someone into your study or wherever your PC sits to play some game with you on the same pc sharing the screen :P (not talking LAN and internet based games here).

Actually side scrollers are one of my favorite genres. I even bought a Nintendo DS just for Megaman ZX.

What I'm saying is that LBP is good, it has greater potential, and, as it is at the moment, it isn't worth the purchase.

Imagine a side scroller God of War with all the chaos and gore.
Imagine a side scroller with Master Chief waltzing around a Halo.
Can you see, the possibilities would be endless.

The thing is, you can do both those things in LBP. I was just playing a Uncharted level with skulls everywhere and a Wipeout level with electricity, circuits and wires in the back a couple of minutes a go ;) I would pay 1k for this game

I see I was misunderstood.

Imagine playing as Kratos, hacking and slashing away, side scroller style.
Imagine blasting enemies away using Master Chief while circling a Halo.

Key words; hacking, slashing and blasting. Sackboy can't do these, hence I'd bore quick just running through levels doing puzzles, etc.

lol, ok I didn't see any of those keywords in your other post

Anyway, yeah it would be nice but remember that they also want this game to appeal to casual's and with 'hacking' 'gore' etc the age limit would be like 16+

We also have got to have different kind of games. Every game shouldn't have shooting, killing, hacking etc. LBP is a laid back, enjoyable game for either a family who like to solve simple puzzles or a Hardcore gamer who wants to create the hardest and longest level around.

If you want to chainsaw someone, stick to GeoW. If you want to Hack someone, stock to GoW. Race, stick to GT or Forza. Quite simple actually ;)

This is the only reason I wish I had a PS3. :D

Seriously, this game is kickass and for once, as a 360 owner, I'm jealous. Hope you PS3ers enjoy it, looks like it's gonna be a serious contender for GOTY.
