Hi all, has anyone out there heard of this crowd which operates in the UK via India?
My 75 year old sister in the UK who has only had her netbook for just over a year and is quite a novice.
She was contacted by this crowd and told that they had been alerted by Microsoft that there were lots of users in her with problems and were carrying out free inspections in her area and offered he a free scan rectification. Their aim is to get her to enter into a 1 year contract at a cost of GBP79.00/yr. At UK labour rates it's probably a fairly good deal.
Any feedback will be much appreciated.

I'd be concerned with Microsoft selling information to 3rd parties.

Sounds like a scam to let them into your house.. Or they just taking advatage of inexperienced users and extorting money out of them..
