Hi
I'm looking for a laptop that can run a LLM using LM Studio. I'm considering this laptop:
It's not for gaming, but I need that VRAM for the LLM. May also help with the little video editing I do.
LM Studio minimum requirements:
For Windows/Linux Users: A PC with a processor that can handle AVX2 and 16+ GB of RAM. If you're using a PC, having at least 6GB VRAM
I don't believe AMD offers AVX2 support. However they state that the Ryzen 7000 series works on LM Studio.
Only concern on the laptop is that it has 32GB DDR that can't be upgraded.
Is the rest on the brand and specs good?
I am looking for a laptop under 2kg. I like the wootbox laptops but they're above 2kg, and I don't like lugging a heavy office laptop around (had that experience with a previous Acer Predator).
