I have this problem with a collegue's PC.

After power on nothing happens for quite a few minutes. Then at the bottom a grey bar appears and then a couple of miinutes later, this message underneath the grey bar.

Windows could not load because of an error in the software
Please report this problem as:
Load needed DLLs for kernel
​

What causes this problem? Is it maybe because of an impending hardware failure?

EDIT: I will also be googling for a solution but if you have a something to say, feel free.
