Load-shedding reduced to stage 4

Eskom reduced load-shedding to stage 4 from 09:00 on Sunday, 26 February 2023.

The abrupt change came at less than five minutes' notice and only four hours after Eskom reduced load-shedding from stage 6 to stage 5.

When the loadshitting schedules (at least in my area) are almost always the same for stages 2, 3, and 4, and to a lesser extent stages 5 and 6, I believe that "reduced" loadshitting is a myth.

Stages 7 and 8 are probably almost always the same as stages 5 and 6, but I don't bother checking those, and since the ESP app changed to show a summary by default, it's not something I will bother checking.

Cable theft in our area lasted for 3 days. Power only came back at 1:00 PM today. All the food is rotten thankfully I keep the refrigerator almost empty. What is the point of having power again?
