Anyone else's mtn signal disapear when we have load shedding.
Live in plumstead southern suburbs in the western cape

Yup, from day 1 of loadshedding. I use telkom data as a back up
Many thanks. Not really a major problem as I just use fibre and wifi.
Wonder if one can contact anyone at mtn to approve this.

No chance. The signal dies because the towers cease to function because stolen batteries.

I have the same problem with my Vodacom signal. Just before load shedding starts, I forward all incoming calls to my VoIP phone, thereby bypassing the local network towers.

yeah we have that problem in bellville by the parents

at my house in athlone it does go slower but sometimes its fine and not 100% dead

i was in springs gauteng the week as well and they one goes completely dead
