Loadshedding canceled from 12h00

Glad to hear. Was due to be shed twice still today. No longer have to deal with that at least.
That's good news, I was going to be shed at 8pm so was prepping gennie as last night it was giving me some splutters. The little one is not sounding good, so was going to fire up the big one. I try keep the inverter for work only.

better get that Gennie fixed up and quickly,
people will break into your house and steal it, or sell it for scrap metal if they could.

Electricity Supply that isnt reliablie, isnt a nice thing, one has to be self sufficient.

Our area was load shed at 4am this morning. Makes absolutely no sense that power can suddenly be fixed 8 hours later, in the middle of the day...

Its called opportunity:

Eskom Appy: Ooh demand is low,
Eskom Manager: Lets tell them we fixed it.
Eskom Appy: What if demand goes up again?
Eskom Manager: Hmmm wet coal, we will say the Coal is wet?
Eskom Appy: Why?
Eskom Manager: So that they think we are working... its your turn to deal...

Yup I know :-( sad thing is, it's only 9 months old and in that 9 months it worked hard.

That's sadly how it goes :-(

Good news is always good to hear, just hope that it doesn't rain or conveyor damages.

Half of the breakdowns are simple boiler tube failures. We seldom hear about those, because they are so common. Only the wet coal and conveyor belt failures are reported, to add into the PR spin to create some variety...

Oh come now, its hardly a coincidence. Load Shedding starts. People get upset. New tender gets announced. Load Shedding stops next day.

Just when I was looking forward for loadshedding, just had my loadshedding kit installed, inverter/battery.

Might be cancelled, but I have had no power in Bryanston since 10:40. Transformer issue at Brynorth substation.
