Cause they get ones with interesting specs sometimes

The cables will have to be THICK

I am quite happy to see devices of this sort deployed in a highly technical environment with properly trained power maintenance personnel. Still, I shudder at the thought of these units installed in normal households, where most people don't even understand anything about power generation!

Higher output does lift the cable requirements on the battery side

Luckily the higher voltage mppt has the opposite effect
It actually makes it safer in one regard

ie parralel panel arrays requires more finess to not be a fire risk

But again dc kills in higher voltages so installation accidents is a worry

Like carpentry power tools,
How many woodworking teachers/carpenters has all their fingers

And welders

I use these tools from time to time

They demand respect or you may become a statistic

Dc falls into that same category

Yup. Antone who witnessed (in the good old days) what happened when a spanner was dropped across the busbars in an electromechanical telephone exchange (50V DC, and hundreds of Amps) knows just how dangerous all this high amperage stuff can be that we are starting to see on top of any old roof all over the place.
 
Municipalities have to step up and pay a grid feed rate equal to what they pay eskom

Essentially creating an ipp with many small contributors

At least we can mitigate day time loadshedding

And limitthe effect this **** has on the economy

If your municipality can essentially seperate yourself from eskom in load shedding and still keep running

I don't know install a ripple meter in each home without solar ie to disconnect that load

ie ripple a switch off just before loadshedding to just keep business on and have that load come from excess solar

Or have a seperate fee to fall in the same category as businesses to still have power at home

To be frank any city with a bit of savvy will say we will pay even more than eskom rate but still less than they sell the electricity at

And make it clear this price will change ie supply and demand ie the sooner you install solar the bigger portion you can earn back of your layout

And maybe evwntually generate enough to not even ripple normal houses off

Is something like this even possible

Cause if your municipality can be loadshedding free in working hrs you will generate more fees as people/businesses move to cities that go this way
