Local API's

I'm struggling to find a comprehensive list of local companies/products that have accompanying APIs.

Can you help?

You could start with a search like this and then just refine it for what you are looking for, quite a few usefull links are there.

Yeah, I don't think there's a list that specifies public web services that expose APIs to other sites. I guess it depends on what you are looking to interface with and then contact the developer / owner of the software to find out if there is an API service available and, if not, if they would be willing to develop one for you...

Instead of building stuff on top of flickr, google, youtube etc... It might be cool do
work with local services.

I think Eskom has an API? Maybe the traffic department too...

I couldn't find many open API's for local services so I built an app with a cool restful API. Check out http://www.frulo.co.za/ - I wanna build something off a really cool local app.
