So you could use the news servers.. Torrent.. DC..

But what else is there to do with it? Anything legal that you could use that transfer for? Any local mirrors with good stuff on them?

All the linux distros you can think of is on mirror.ac.za, good way to waste a 30gb account.

Why not say, this is what I need data wise and then to progress to ask is it hosted locally ?!

Very good option Mr TheLoot.

I've already got the only ISO I need... Feisty DVD. I'm getting some software but that will be done in probably 4 hours.

What I'd really like is some vidcasts/podcasts that aren't local.

TWIT, hak5 etc etc.

I doubt I'll be able to get such content locally.

All I can see on FTPs are linux distros (of which I use one) and firefox mirrors. I'm not going to waste my time downloading 15 isos and never use them but feel all warm inside because my hard drive has 20gbs less free space.

Oh I almost forgot, there is also http://www.incoming.co.za/wernertube/ you can find a few locally hosted YouTube type vids there :)

EDIT:

There's also locally hosted free MIT courses :) So if you doing a math degree or similar, and need some extra resources or perhaps a different perspective, check out http://ocw.mirror.ac.za/ :p
