Local games I can enjoy (multiplayer)

I used to play on some local (nice ping) server with goodish ut2004 players, but they all offed themselves after ut3's release.

These days I am forced to play on international servers (diablo 2 / Ut1999) but I would like to know if there are any cool (old school) servers in South Africa that I can play on?

Like medal of honor 1 or Battlefield 1942, can also be RPG game, but no Warcraft ty, unless its warcraft 2 or starcraft..

Why don't you try half life 2 deathmatch (you can get the game for free y'know....). A lot of people underestimate just how good the game is.

Or what about Quake Live ? (Quake 3 with tweaks). It's completely free, proper old school FPS, loads of local servers and there's a reasonably sized community playing it ( www.quakelive.com )

Prefer to just play a fun game that isn't 100% Serious fps like quake

I've tried diablo 2 local server, but I thought everone went to Battle.net after ladder reset.
