Everyone is always saying how there is never any GOOD news, well here is some, courtesy of the Umgungundlovu Municipality ( one of those higher-level metro municipalities with no real need to exist ):

Answering the call of nature for Umgungundlovu employees is proving to be a bit of a problem. Sources yesterday told The Witness that the cash-strapped municipality has run out of toilet paper. Humiliated employees have resorted to bringing their own and one senior manager allegedly forked out from his own pocket to buy some rolls for the staff toilets.

“The situation is dire,” said one source. “They have no money.”

Several sources said that there was no paper for photostating or printing and even if there was paper, machines are out of toner. The computer server has been down for two months and printers linked to the system can’t function anyway.

Staff were allegedly instructed not to leak the current situation to the press.

No going for a leak now, girls! First no power, now no bogroll! LOL.

With all the budget funds ripped off there would of course be no money. A while ago it was in the news of such a broke local government but yet the mayor just bought a huge expensive luxury car that will make Mbeki jealous. With the money they earn they can afford to bring their own paper.
