Local Indexing site gets a revamp

www.nzbsa.co.za has been revamped and has a totally new look with new features added to the site. In my opinion feature wise and looks wise it is the best site in South Africa at this time. There is another indexing site but this site has annoying popups asking one to click on it (obviously to earn revenue for the site.)

Nzbsa has features which other local sites do not have which makes it far superior to other local sites.

Those who are interested can join now without needing an invite.
 
Not sure, but the sooner whoever wants to join the better.

That's debatable! :p It looks OK, but don't get too full of yourself! ;)

Probably best not to compare yourself to other sites or antagonise them. Just get down to business and do what you are supposed to do. Criticising others is not going to earn you any brownie points or make you any friends. That site has been around a LOT longer than you and has thousands more users than you. You have a very long way to go.

Thanks, any new site is welcome and we wish you well... just try to be a bit more humble.
Your fans will grow as you do what your site is supposed to do, not because of any fancy talk. ;)

@Garyvdh, in this post you seem to think that Masu is the person that has opened/created this site, often referring to it as "his" website. I highly doubt (though it is possible) that Masu is the creater of NZBSA, most likely he is a user who appreciates the site and has posted here on MyBB to express his thoughts.

Yes, after you bust your international cap though :p, unless you have a program which diverts your international and local traffic, which heavy down loaders, and I'm assuming Garyvdh has ;), then you can download from your local cap without busting your international cap.

That won't be possible on a single account but can be done if you have two accounts one for local and one for international

Oh, okay, but in that case you wouldn't need any program at all. Just download from your local account.

no, I don't bother with local. Mine is all international.

nzbs are just index files. You still need a news server to download from...

I use an international one and it works just fine for me...


oh wait I see what you're saying. Yes if you want to use local cap, you need a local news server.

Just to clarify to avoid anyone misinterpreting my motives for posting this. Also want to make it clear that I am not the owner of this site. I don't benefit in any form or manner by having people come to nzbsa.

Made this post is to let people know about the site is because I am a member and I know there are lots of people who look for sites. Why not promote local sites. Local should be lekker after all. Yes I used to be a member of the "other" indexing site and I did not "name" it precisely as not to bash other local sites. However it does irritate me that the "other" site has this annoying pop-up windows asking you to click on it - without clicking on it, you wont be able to go further into the site, so one does not have a choice whether to click or not. You have to.

Also I find the "other" site not friendly at all, and was so excited to find such an awesome site where the people are really great and helpful and nice, that I wanted everyone else to also know about it.

As for the "features they have that other local sites do not have" well not going into it in detail, but for instance if you upload an episode of something popular you do not have to input the description etc, you just click on Check and it gets automatically input.

There is a tv episode guide which to my knowledge is not available on the "other" local site. I am not too clued up about everything, but after having compared my experience on the other site to nzbsa, I find nzbsa to be much better. If you want pornography then of course it is not the site for you and the "other" site would be better for this. Also for local content and music you would have to go to the "other" site because nzbsa does not want to have that content on their site for whatever reason.

I get whatever I need from nzbsa so will continue to promote them. By doing this I had no intention of bashing any other site but actually just wanted to get my feelings across regarding the site.

Did not mean to step on anyone's toes or offend anyone. If you want to just grab and run the the "other" site is also excellent, but for socialising as well, nzbsa it tops in my book.

OK, thanks for the feedback. Sorry I mistook you for an overzealous owner! :)

Just to clarify, on that other site, when the pop-up asks if you have clicked on the advert, just say "yes" and it will go away.
Then you can proceed as usual.
