A number of poeple have already set this up(this is the method I used).This is useful because I find that the Linux-side was not as easily explained as the Windows RouteSentry solution.

Question: Can this work for IPCop/Smoothwall as the link you posted seems to apply to desktop type distro's (ie. Ubuntu, Fedora, ect.)?

The trouble with IPCop and Smoothwall is that they're built for a single internet connection. It would require quite a drastic modification (likely a spin-off distro rather than just a plugin or extension) to implement >1 connection.

great job on the howto. But you should mention it's for Gentoo (and to refer to documentation for their distro) as the configs differ quite radically.

Yip, that's where I got the idea from. But the thread was a bit of a mess to figure out ? Also if you look at the /etc/ppp/ip-up script you'll see the similiarity
