Hi guys,

I ordered a pair of shoes/boots today from this company: http://www.groundcover.co.za/

I did a google search for "smart casual slip on shoes" and the first link that popped up were them.

Just from the start and looking at the products etc. I was so impressed I ordered and paid straight away.

Here's a cached copy of a happy customer (domain seems offline though, dunno)
http://209.85.229.132/search?q=cach...cover-leather-company-highly-recommended.aspx

I paid R395 for genuine leather Zambezi boots (product name on site) and R50 insured shipping. The fact that they have such good standards with regards to returns etc. is a plus point and they work on holidays and public holidays.

I'm not affiliated with them, I'm just sharing.

I asked to receive the shoes at my work address next week and I will definitely be able to provide feedback on quality etc.

As I told my girlfriend. A stroll in shops at our Mall this past weekend where shoes at some places ranged from R1200 did not even resemble the quality of the pair I bought tonight. The designs were horrid and the sales people thought I was a criminal because I refused to pay that amount for their crappy shoes :p ;) :D

These I bought are hand made.

If you choose to buy, just browse a bit more and be sure to add the Leather Feed or Cream on their site. It's about R30 and I only saw it later and it's a bit silly to order and pay such small amounts (banking charges).

Let me know what you think.

Ciao,
tera

Nice find btw....

Driven past them many times before, never went in. Fished in the dam just below their premises before.

Hey Dixie.

Yes. I received the shoes yesterday. Delays occured due to Easter weekend. Sapo isn't open on Easter AFAIK know so not Groundcover's fault.

Package was sent Tuesday and it was sealed in a standard shoe box with brown paper. I received tracking info and tracked it on www.parceltrack.co.za

The shoes differ slightly from the photo. The photo is smooth leather, but mine is normal looking with bumps etc. You just need to specify what you would prefer I suppose. It's fine either way for me though.

The shoes fit well and is very comfortable, no complaints really.

Ciao.
