Ok I have a question. Can anyone confirm whether or not you can play crysis wars on saix gaming servers with a local only internet account. I don't see how as I think you need to log in with a gamespy id, but i have heard that you can do it with a number of other games so perhaps you can with this one?

My problem is i switched over to neosmell and the latency on their wireless service is a little insane to say the least. I now have a month off (yippee:D) and want to waste some of that time playing crysis, but now need to sign up for ADSL once again. I don't think that a small cap of 3 odd gigs is gonna get me very far, especially since i intend on playing for about 8 hours a day, so i was looking at getting a local only account (30GB), but am unsure if this is going to work.

If somebody could either confirm that it does work or give me a suggestion as to what to do, I would really appreciate it.

Well considering you need to get ADSL again... by the time your ADSL is on... you'll be back at work.

This should work, haven't tried it myself but why not use something like route sentry? Get a 1GB prepaid international to go with it.

I doubt it will take that long to turn on the ADSL again, It is simply a matter of telling them to reactivate it on my account, no installation is necessary and they can probably do it for me while i am on the phone with them.

Route Sentry sounds like abrillian idea though. Thank you very much. I wonder if it would be possible to tell route sentry to use the neotel link for international data instead of me getting a seperate international account. I am going to be keeping my neotel as it is still the best option for uncapped international bandwidth.

Now before I go doing this for nothing, can anyone confirm whether this is the route i need to take or does Crysis wars work with a local only connection. Thanks again for the help.

Let me be the pesimist here.. lol

When you startup Crysis, it logs onto a master server (located internationally) with your gamespy ID. I think you wont be able to play if you cant authenticate with your gamespy ID.

Why dont you unplug you internet connection and see if it still lets you into the "Multiplayer->Internet" menu. If it does, you might be able to just punch in the IP of the server??
