LOCAL ONLY - DynDns alternatives.

Hi,

All the branches I support use local only adsl accounts and thus I need a localy DynDns alternative.

Any of these still exist?

I really don't want to have to setup my own.

http://activedns.co.za/ @ R10 (incl VAT) per month per host. So this ain't very cheap either.

It would be cheaper to just get a once off prepaid 1GB account and route the traffic to DynDNS through that, unless you don't have a router that is capable of dialing multiple PPPoE connections simultaneously.

Usually you can share the same prepaid account on multiple ADSL connections.

Which ISP are you using for the Local Only Accounts ??

IIRC Axxess had a ddns built into their accounts, so you could set the host name from the Axxess cp... The Local ADSL accounts are usually the same price from most ISP's so if you not already using axxess, maybe look into switch over to them..
