So after 21 months and 15 days of waiting for Telkom to install my DSL it is apparently happening today. As such in preparation of this momentus occasion I've decided I may as well start playing WOW again. I'm going to have to do a clean install of TBC however, so I need to know if anyone has a local link to download the latest patches from.

Thanks in advance...

eish local - im not sure if that is possible lol

Where abouts do you live, maybe 1 of us is close by to burn a copy of the patches 4 u

I used the blizz downloader, i disabled peer to peer and had a steady speed of around 24-50k, When the download reaches 98%, cancel it, go to the wow folder and make a copy of the patch file and paste it in a backup folder, next time you need to reinstall u copy the backup file to wow folder and it will resume the download at 98%, Because of dodgy patch files out there i prefer this way, its a slight mission but at least i know my patches are safe.

im going to be downloading the latest patch files today, 1.12.x → 2.0.1, 2.x → 2.3.0 and 2.3.0 → 2.3.2(provided my dsl actually works OK).
If you're around rivonia/sandton area give me a shout and i can burn it for ya.

Thanks for all the replies, let me check first if my line is working before I inconvenience anyone. I'll most likely also only need from 2.0.1 to 2.3.2 as I already have discs to install original and TBC

think so Nickd

tho the "full" patches ie the good old 600mb patches dont need small patches, u can install wow from scratch and patch straight up 2.3 for example

ie wowengb_2.3.exe or w/e would b full and wowengb_2.3.2-2.3.3.exe would b a small patch that u need 2.3.2 to use it

hope that makes sense
