Hi All,
I've seen pple bragging about their local pings with averaging around 15ms My ping has been around 50ms for last 5 days ... no matter what time
PING ftp.saix.net (196.25.240.137) from 192.168.1.247 : 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from ftp.saix.net (196.25.240.137): icmp_seq=1 ttl=250 time=49.0 ms
64 bytes from ftp.saix.net (196.25.240.137): icmp_seq=2 ttl=250 time=50.1 ms
64 bytes from ftp.saix.net (196.25.240.137): icmp_seq=3 ttl=250 time=49.6 ms
64 bytes from ftp.saix.net (196.25.240.137): icmp_seq=4 ttl=250 time=48.8 ms
64 bytes from ftp.saix.net (196.25.240.137): icmp_seq=5 ttl=250 time=49.3 ms
I have nothing else running, I'm on the 3854 package, there are no errors on the line and my normal d/l speed is 40k/s ... jsut the ping ...
Oh yes and I'm pinging from the firewall attched to the modem ...
