Local power a 'time bomb'

And rightfully so, they are the police here and are not here to play. If rules are broken its their job to enforce, to keep the site functioning

+1 ... or the treads will degenerate into anarchy or worse. Without some sort of order, the forums could be closed down, I suppose.

PostmanPot frequents the DSTV, TopTV, SABC, TV and Multimedia forum. Just look at any thread with the words LCD or Plasma in it. :D

And breakfast and supper threads too :D

He's not gone nowhere. :D

I'm not impressed at all with the way the ANC-led government are bungling the current power issues. The way the infrastructure and planning was done in the apartheid days was way better. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying apartheid was right, but the way the kept the systems that sustain the country going was very good. The main problem now is the same as the current tax situation. The few carry the many.

The government was well aware after 1994 that they needed to VASTLY upgrade and improve infrastructure to cope with the future needs of the country. Instead they focused on improving their own lots in life. The cracks in the system are showing now due to bad upkeep and the guys that were supposed to do it have up and left the country. If apprentice programs were kept like in the old days, then maybe some knowledge would have been passed down to the current guys.
