local upload - where ?

hmm. Its not like anybody can really use the GCF's unless they have paid for the game

we all know the gcf's has been leaked thats unprotected and "de-steamed"....

...wouldn't deem it 'legal' to upload them anyways protect or unprotected for that matter.

what would have been nice is a proper local steam node - one can dream :/

Welcome to the MyADSL Forums! :D

To solve your problem you need to follow a few steps:
1) Turn off Caps Lock
2) Download FileZilla (Client), a free, open source, cross-platform FTP client.
3) Log into the uunet server with the FireZilla FTP Client, and try doing what you were trying to do, again. :)

You can leave the LogonType on Anonymous

So if people are sharing stuff there, where would one find out what is available and what the folders are ? Or is this one of those "need to be in a circle" things ?!

EDIT: If you think about it, the more people there are the more of a circle it is; I mean with only 4 people it's a square, 8 its an octagon but as the number of people become large, it becomes more of a circle :)

nice analogy.
Directory listing is disabled by default in the sharing folder otherwise their server would be abused beyond reason.
Soooooo, if anyone uploads to there then they need to tell you the folder name that they used. You can go into anythign as long as you know what its called!
