I would like to see some widgets with local content. Perhaps we should have a little something like MyDreamApp for a local widget? Anyone interested?

I've got my MyADSL Widget as well as a few others. They're dead easy to make once you download Dashcode. :D

Yes Dashcode is quite nice. Heres what I was thinking, a widget that allows you to send those free vodacom4me sms' or maybe a dstv guide widget

I'm guessing dstv doesnt provide a rss feed? :o

Thats not XML though or am I missing something? I will have a proper read on the site tonight

Did'nt check that too thoroughly ... but I did d/load an XML file a while ago.

Edit: OK, found something - appears it was not on Tivo's site but I got a XMLTV d/load here. When opened it does have an XML file but I am not sure if this will work for you guys. Have a look...

EDIT: Found another guide here http://download.flash.za.org/schedule/zaxmltv.php funny thing I can open it in OpenOffice under Ubuntu not in Excel in WinXP. (Have'nt tried with mac yet as I'm on the main PC tonight :) )

thats good to know. do you know how they compile the guides? manually?

As far as I know he has written a script that gets the data from dstv/mnet's website so breakages happen when dstv change the format. It is unfortunate that it has to be done this way but at the moment it seems the best solution.

If it breaks though, just drop him an email, he is normally quick to respond and fix the problem.
