All I can say is that I have been more than happy with buying game cards from him . Price has been good , service has been really good.

I know it is not his main job. But even so , if someone could make a real living from that
why is it so different from running an online gaming store ?

Thanks man. There's been a few comments about my gc business in the forums (I suspect the same bunch of trolls) which I don't mind.

But I really did offer the guy 1GB FREE bandwidth to keep on playing on the normal WoW servers which he didn't take up.

So a) He's really not an official player and this thread was just made to promote "Free" local servers
or b) Not an addict at all
or c) All of the above
 
Yeah it is quite funny that the replies sounded like an Infomercial :rolleyes:

So how does a local server get setup and why is everyone giving it a caning for being in existence?

Noob question but there seem to be such highly volatile emotions around it.. I'd like to find out why.
 
It's easy. Losers and suckers play on emu servers and the rest of us play on official servers.

Do a search for emu server on these forums and have a look.
 
i worked on emu server code before AcentEMU before it closed (the main coder was a chop), its very interesting to see how the networking code operates but thats about as fun as it gets.

The database projects going around like silvermoon etc.. are just not near blizz like, so people make these stupid fun servers with dumb armour like +800 stamina etc.. its a bit retarded.

Either way if you out of int. bandwidth only 3 days to go and you can play again:P
 
like i said. Ill offer up 1gb of prepaid bandwidth for free. But it seems this thread was created for emu advertising

I really dont need that cap now. I actually just wanna experiment with those Emulators and stuff. Just to play around abit... thats all.

My 1Gig prepaid "gaming cap" finally ran out. Now I can't login to gamespy to play my games.

Google OpenAccent and repack. You should find something. The Emu's are nothing like retail so be prepared to be dissapointed.
 
Some more facts, not usualy advertised by emu server hosts. ALL end game bosses are Tank and spank! Yes that is right no need to read tactics developed for normal servers, just step up to the boss and melee it to death (bosses don't even have the aoe or spelcasting it have on normal servers). Aint this a nice way to get fast epics!
Having problems with bosses with multiple adds like Moroes, don't worry you can pull each add on its own without agroing the rest!
And if you join now, our friendly GM's will even recreate your current wow char on their server with all its epics! (Whispers to GM's are not allowed so good luck in reaching them)

A mate of mine always played on emu's until he lost 2 of his lvl 70s then switched over to official.

I laughed my a$$ off when he QQ'd about this mob he tried to take on with his rogue ...

doooooood wtf! i pulled one and EVERYONE came at me at once! This sucks!

oh... and he also had a spectral tiger mount at lvl 10. Talk about spoiling it...
