This is a bit of an odd question , let me give some background first.

I was living in jhb and have moved to Durban. I had registered my mweb account in jhb and since moving just plugged in my mweb username and pass into my router in Durban and all was fine. However I'm noticing one very odd problem - When using the Maps feature on my iPad (which I just bought a few days ago) it's locating me as being in jhb instead if Durban. Infact, its locating me pretty much around the area I used to live in jhb - yet my ipad has never been to jhb and so this cant be some sort of caching problem. Even weather services on my iPhone show me as being in jhb. When I do a speediest it also thinks I'm in jhb. (btw this is all done using wifi through my mweb account)

Is this something to do with the fact that my account is somehow going through a jhb exchange somewhere near where I lived? Can I change it?

Btw I am currently on the web uncapped 4 Meg service.

All of Mweb's accounts exit the Telkom ADSL cloud in either Johannesburg or Cape Town so all of your traffic routes there before going anywhere else.

Location based services are often mapped initially to the address of the ISPs offices. They only become more accurate once users start refining the data through things like Google Latitude.
