It says that it needs a connection of at lease 300bps, so that should mean that a 512 or 1meg connection should be fine. So long as it's not shaped of course!

Okay - so it's a device that is configured to record stuff from the normal inputs [dstv, vcr, dvd, cd etc] - and then it can broadcast it over wi-fi or dsl.

So - it's a PVR with the added benefit of wi-fi/broadband broadcasting.

Sigh - all I want it a decent programmable Wi-Fi based [instead of IR] remote control, and I'll do all this with my PC.

Yeah you have a good point there.

I have just got a TiVo from the States. I wonder if there is a hack out there to let me do just that. I'll have to have a look into it.

I just asked the question on the TiVoZA Forums and it seems like TiVo it already set up to do everything that the LocationFree device does.
