Lock for driveway gate

I bought two driveway gates made out of pine - have a look-see here: http://www.gumtree.co.za/cp-garden-...tted-pine-and-garden-gates-for-sale-479139178

And now I'm wondering how on earth do I install a lockable lock (if that makes sense...) that can be accessed from both sides? Because it's clearly too high to lean over and unlock... it's 1,8 m.

You cut a hole in the gate... OR you get a barrel lock type of thing that you can put through a slate on the gate...
