Lock Health Funnel

I have read many guides and posts about health funnel, how it is a shadow spell and is *not* affected by +healing, however whenever i equip an item with lower +healing on it my health funnel suffers.
whats the deal here?

Remember +heal now gives you some +Spell so it's not the actual +heal thats affecting it but the +spell that you get from the +heal item.

im not so sure, the frozen shadoweave set has way more shadow dmg than the +heal on my S1, but health funnel is significantly lower using SW.
i think blizz are using +healing for health funnel

It could be that it's not a Shadow Spell in which case FSW will give it 0 benefit. Whereas the +Heal will still provide a small amount of +Spell
I'm not a lock so I have no idea.

im pretty sure its shadow, every site i've looked at lists it as spell type:shadow, it just seems weird to me that no one has picked this up before =)

Just to reiterate, +Healing DOES NOT affect warlock spells at all, not even Drain Life or Health Funnel. Instead, these spells benefit from +shadow damage, and in the case of Drain Life, for example, your +shadow points are split, half applied to damage taken by the target, half applied to the health that you gain (http://www.wowwiki.com/Drain_Life). Your +healing bonus doesn’t even apply to bandages, healing potions, or healing trinkets anymore!
