lock the screen

To lock my phone's screen, before inserting it in the pocket, I need to wait or press the power button. Is there a app/ widget button that one can press to lock the screen

Depending on your phone you could do something like a slide to lock

Similar to how double tap to wake is easier than pressing a power button.

Just checked on my phone. The option is in the lock screen settings on Samsung phones.

I use the lock bottom , but there is a cover over the phone.

So then I want double tap to lock the screen

Similar to how double tap to wake is easier than pressing a power button.

A quick Google search shows that it consumes more battery, as the digitizer has to be kept on ... That's the only reason why I wouldn't enable that option.

I use nova launcher with the double tap gesture to lock screen with the Lock screen by Go launcher app
