Hi all. Im looking for a Dutch oven. I see that lodge has got one that is under the camp fire range and one that's under the Dutch oven range. The one in the camp fire range is made to put on fires and has legs(potjie kos style) and the other does not have legs. I wanted to put in on the weber as well as use it on the stove or even oven, so would I be able to use the one without legs on the fire as well? It seems that the one without legs is more versatile of it can be put on the weber. Tnxs

Whahahahahahaha! Sorry OP i know the q is innocent, but this is mybb.

Taken in stride of things. Good to know there is humor around and dthat everything is not so serious.

Lol

To answer your question - just get a flat bottomed potjie pot.It can be used anywhere.

Those Lodge cast iron pots/pans etc are amazing.

I'm guessing the flat bottomed one would be fine on the weber if it's on the grill. I've used mine very successfully in a Big Green Egg.

If you'd like to be certain why not email Lodge USA? They're on the ball and respond quickly.

Where are you buying from?

Happened to one of our innocent firends way back

The were chatting about camping and all of a she blurted out "Oh man I love a dutch oven, its soooo good"

"You lift the lid and that smell, it hits you like Ahhh ye!"

Everyone was dying, she carried on for like 10 mins.
