I have reviewed Sentech's license and have found that they are in breach of 3 clauses including sub-clauses, mostly dealing with customer service, billing (they must provide detailed statements on customer request and I know its a nightmare to deal with their accounts dept) and specifically they have not included in their end user contract they adhere to code of conduct of Consumer Affairs
"The licensee shall include a provision in its end user agreements with customers wherein it undertakes to comply with a code of practise for consumer affairs to be established by the Licensee ..."

or

"If requested by a customer in relation to a particular invoice, the Licensee shall provide such customer with a detailed statement of account"

or

"The Licensee shall develop and enforce guidlines for use by its personnel when handling enquiries and complaints from a customer to whom it provides Multimedia Service and to whom it supplies Terminal Connection Equipment and/or User Terminal Devices. The Licensee shall make such guidlines available to any customer who requests to be furnished with a copy of the same"

I dont think they are in breach of this [:o)]

We all have formulated what the guidelines are......

No 1 Use standard responses from reason manual, pick a number between 1 and 30 and tell complainant the reason

No 2 If No 1 is not sufficient for the user say that you are escalating the problem ...... in otherwords.....DO NOTHING ELSE........

hehe well then I think sentech must make this list of replies available so that we know which lie will be told next. Perhaps one day they will add a comment that the martians are interfering with the bandwidth.

Excellent! If we all do our bit in getting Sentech to provide what they advertise they'll be brought to heel in no time flat!

Multiple submissions of the same complaint wouldn't hurt either *hint to others*
