I was wondering if someone could shed light on the following problem.
I can not login to a php webform on the www.clickatell.com site. The page simply reloads itself. After clearing my browser cache, using alternative browser, and even using alternative pc with its browser the problem persist, as Clickatell's support suggested.

When using a Cellphone GPRS connection, I can login. The problem did correct briefly once yesterday, but has now re-appeared.
Their support guy recommend I check with the ISP to see if the pages are not being cached.
I would assume they are being cached on the 3G connection cause the page just reloads?
V3G, help ?

P.S : Maybe the enitre "internet" is being cached, hence the occasional "out of disk space error" at the end of the month  :D

We've had one or two sprcific web sites that seems to battle with this type of problem.

I've given this site to our IT guys to check out. If it is a problem, they'll enter a IP-rule to ensure this site does not get cached.

Still working 100% this side. <nobody move :) >
maybe one of your techies picked up the link and set an ip rule?

VG3, it ain't wokring again.

Can you maybe ask the guys to set an IP rule to see that the page is not cached? or inform me if it currently is not being cached.

would be greatly appreciated. Page/site : http://www.clickatell.com/central/login.php
Thanks.
ant101, to confirm whether it is a cacheing issue either directly on 3G, or further upstream like maybe at IS, can you try with a '?' at the end of the url, and maybe some bogus parameters, that sort of thing usually fools a cache server into getting the latest page...if all that fails, IMO the next step is to look at the source of the page that your browser is seeing...

Thanks IC will try that.
The site was down - not connectable, could not even ping it (if those still reach their current destinations?)
The site is back up, and I still have the problems, tried both you suggested methods.
Clickatell supports says they have no probelms on their side, and they usually notify their customers if there is/was a problem, and generally keep you in the loop if something is not 100%.

Any other suggestions ?

Ok assuming you are using FireFox 1.0.4 to login to Clickatell, I think you should check the cookie settings - in the Windoze version of FireFox:
Code:
Tools>Options>Privacy>Cookies>Exceptions>www.clickatell.com
I have not logged into clickatell.com [no account with them], but visiting the site created 2 cookies for www.clickatell.com...anyways just make sure that the cookies are not being blocked by settings in FireFox and try again...

Thanks.

Just tested the URL above, and could get to the login page. Could you not load the page at all or is it after you log in?

Ic- I cleared all the cookies, still no login. There is currently nothing under exceptions list, and cookies are kept unitl they expire.
I am using Firefox 1.04.

V3g - I can load the page, but once I try and log on with my details through 3G only, the page only refreshes it self (minus the password detail).
On GPRS via my cell I log on 100% fine, through the same browser/pc)
I have tried clearing cache, forms info, cookies, history etc but nothing helps.
Clickatell infomed me that they have had instances in the past where some ISP's cache the pages, hence the post.

Any other suggestions ?

Thanks V3G. - It is working.
I will check further next week to see that it is still actively working.

Thanks for all your help! Much appreciated.
:)
