It did not take long for me to start typing faster on this baby than I usually do. That's because of the way the keyboard is designed: it has an undulating rather than flat shape so the keys seem easier to operate. Seamlessly attached is a padded palm and wrist rest, a big help if you spend hours on a computer.
The design aims to liberate you from the mouse and start button with a host of new function keys. In addition to the standard function keys to call up the word processor, spreadsheets and e-mail, is the cool zoom-in and -out button. Other buttons call up the calculator, Internet, pictures and a calendar. The mouse also has nice innovations. Pressing down on the scroll wheel allows you to flip between programmes.
The price may be a bit steep but, on the whole, the Cordless Desktop Wave is a very good product, a must for those who live in front of a computer screen.
