I read the AnandTech Review earlier today.

I really like the look of this compared to other mechanical KB's.
Interested to see what price it will come in at in SA.

Logitech stuff has been getting quite pricey. They used to be relatively cheap.

Yeah it looks epic! I was about to buy a black widow but definitely going to get one of these.

I am guessing in the region of R1500. $149 in the US

I have been holding off from buying a new keyboard for a long while to replace my MS X6, I will be buying this. Too bad there arent any more KB's that have a removable keypad.

Can't wait until ROCCAT comes out with a mechanical keyboard, but I really love my steelseries G7 so it would have to be pretty good to convince me to change.

Looking very good, always wanted to try a mechanical. The layout is very similar to my G110.

Nice to see they are finally making low noise mechanical keyboards as the noise is why I have never considered them.

@pooky:
No, mechanical keyboards are more durable and feels better when you actually type on them.
The major advantage of the mechanical keyboards are that they can handle multiple key presses at once, which can come in quite handy in some games. This is probably the biggest reason as to why gamers buy mechanical keyboards.

The 2 things that I have against mechanical keyboards are:
1) not really suitable for open office plan, since they make quite a lot of noise when you type - but this depends on the actual switch used for the keys. In my own room I absolutely love the click sound that the mechanical keyboard is making!
2) unable to get it in a sensitive/flat/short distance before triggering - like you have with your laptop keyboards, such as the Apple keyboards

Like the size but it looks a bit kark?

Plenty of rubber-dome keyboards have NKRO as well. Such as the Microsoft Sidewinder X4. It's not a mechanical thing. Some people claim they need it while I have never, ever in about 20 years of playing games EVER pressed 6 keys AND control AND shift AND alt at the same time (which I think is the standard for non-NKRO keyboards) but hey, maybe some people out there have 27 fingers? Mechanical keyboards do feel better though. So. much. better. The best thing is once you learn to type on one without bottoming out the keys as you usually would on a rubber one.

As you said, depends on the switches. Some are quiet with only a tactile click, some have no click, etc. Personally I love the way the MX Blues feel, it gives the keyboard that old-skool IBM touch, and sounds like every movie where someone is typing, but I guess it could get annoying if there were others around.. Don't worry though, a certain mail/marijuana delivery person will be along shortly to tell us all why Blues are worse than cancer, Hitler and nuclear winter combined, for gaming.

@2) unable to get it in a sensitive/flat/short distance before triggering - like you have with your laptop keyboards, such as the Apple keyboards

Again, this depends on the switches used, and is a reason why some prefer the MX Blacks for games. The actuation point on the blues are just below the clicking point, so you have to press them quite far in order to get them to register compared to Blacks for example. You do NOT, however, have to lift off completely in order to do multiple quick presses as some have said.

This Logitech looks quite nice if I ever have to replace my Blackwidow ultimate, but the price is quite frankly going to be insane in my opinion. R1000+ for a keyboard is already too much, this will almost definitely be more than that.
