Logitech Harmony 1100

Hey Guys,

Consider forking out the 3000 odd for this thing. Is it worth it?? I would also need the PS3 connector thing (another 600 or so). Anyone got/used one of these?

Looks awesome, and should be able to replace all my remotes.

How many remotes u got to replace ? If u got a tv with simplink, that sorts your PS3.

Currently have the following:

Logitech Z5500 (has possibly the worst remote in the world)
PS3 + Bluetooth Remote Control (EDIT: PS3 FAT)
Sony Bravia V-Series (KLv40v400a)

I am still looking for a nice way to integrate playing music into this system. A $99 dollar appleTV streaming through the Wifi would be perfect, just can't get hold of one here. Again, harmony should control that as well. I find it too irritating to have 3 remotes everytime I want to watch Movies/Series/BluRay off the PS3.

The 1100 "looks" really impressive, but ergonomically it is horrible .... I had two of the Sony universal remotes that was about the same shape as the 1100 ... you always have to hold the damn thing with one hand and press buttons/touch screen with the other hand. .... and you have to look at the thing while using it to know what you are doing.

Get the Harmony One or the Harmony 900 (same as One, but with RF).

From my understanding the Harmony One also requires you to look at the screen as thats where your custom buttons go. I don't mind looking at the remote, i just want one button to switch everything to what i want, so for blu-ray i press 1 button, ps3 starts, sound system switches to correct input, tv goes to right channel.

I like the layout of the 1100 more than the One and from the reviews they are both amazing controllers and should be able to support my entire media center. Think i am going to get it.

I've had no problem with my Harmony 1000 - except the programming interface, it also works fine with the PS3 - and if you set it up properly, you can do basic functions with the buttons to the right of the screen.

Ordered and on the way Got the PS3 adapter as well. Now all i need is a nice iPod Touch to hook up to my Logitech's (via apple dock) so I can control the music from both my Phone and my Harmony 1100

Exactly where its coming from Was about 50 bucks more than that when I ordered. They don't stock the PS3 adapter, so I picked that up online.
