Ok, wiped my XP install last night & reinstalled Win7 for BF3.

When I plugged in my Logitech headset Win7 detected it for what it was and installed the drivers and then rebooted. Upon reboot it keeps complaining about a unknown device which it shows as in device manager. Unplugging & replugging it makes no difference, it also does not get detected in any other ports besides the initial port it was plugged into.

I also downloaded & updated the Intel INF util for my chipset which helped nothing.

Any ideas as I'm about to start breaking things :D

If it has 3.5mm connectors then I'd imagine the unknown device in Device Manager is pointing to your sound card?

Or do you get sound out of loud speakers/other speakers?

It's USB.

It eventually came right after plugging/unplugging it numerous times & removing the drivers etc

Hate windows!

What motherboard and headset do you have, just asking in case anyone else has this problem and can maybe find their way to this thread.
