Logitech MX510 optical mouse

Hi there

My brother is a bit upset, because his mouse's cable is broken somewhere, and the mouse is operating erratically.

Is there any chance that I can replace the cable with another one, or will he need to buy a new mouse?

Let me guess it doesn't work via usb at all and if you plug it in to ps2 then it shoots accross the screen in all different directions?

This happened to mine after a year and lucky for me was still under warentee. I would say take it back to where he bought it and get new one. I sent mine in and they tested it. It was the mouse and then they sent me a mx518 because afaik you can't the the 510 anymore. 518 is better than 510 anyway so he might be able to get anew one

I think the mice have a 3 year gaurentee, but I could be mistaken.
