This system has been used for over three years, until last week.
I think the storm blew the subwoofer and the control pod.

I tried to replace the fuse, however I still get no power.
To be 100% sure it can be fixed, will Logitech have a look at it?

Do you know who can be contacted after all these years of use?

I will cry, the day my z5500 pack up. Been solid since 2008, best R4k I ever spent.

yip I am dreading the day mine goes boom. I love it. I got it on one of Incredible Connections half price sale!

I've had mine since 2004/2005 and it's still going strong, even used it for a friends party back in the day, cost R3,400 back then - money well spent!

Good luck fixing yours!

I had a set, the controlpod blew. LogitechZA could not help me because the z5500 are "discontinued". Took it to an audio specialist that could not repair it either.

I called the Helpline number.
Someone from overseas answered and he was very kind.
Unfortunately he says they don't provide support to this model any longer.

Interestingly, he wanted to send me a rebate coupon (30% discount) to purchase a new set, however when he knew I was in ZA, he said the offer is not available to our country.

Why sometimes we feel so far from the rest?

Hi

This sounds exactly what happened to me a few years ago. My sub just stopped working. New fuses didn't work and Logitech won't support it. I send it to a electronic repair shop in PTA but they couldn't fix it either. But then a guy working at that shop told me he could fix it privately. I gave it to him and viola it was fixed no problem.

It's still working to this day. Paid R 500 for the repair.

I have 2 sets of these speakers. The sub blew on one pair (was already a couple of years old) and I could not find a replacement so I got another set. The amp started giving problems roughly 3 years after purchasing this set. (audio only through right channel etc.) Still trying to find someone in CT who will repair these, I miss my bass :o
