As above, so below
I have 2x Logitech Z5500's which I have been using for years, and they have been absolutely great!

My one system has a problem with the amp, audio cutting out, only playing through one channel etc.
The other one I blew the sub, just rattles and sounds hollow when the sub is on.

I took the sub out of the system which had amp problems, put it in the system which has the working amp and also blew the sub...

Can anyone recommend anyone in the Cape Town area that can fix something like this, or recommend a replacement woofer that will sound like the original woofer.

Any info will be much appreciated!

If I am not wrong u could replace it with a nice kenwood woofer but u don't want to blow the amp to. A bit of google and DIY u should be able to do it yourself

Edit: A 8ohm 180 to 350 watt rms Pioneer sub would work fine
