What is the easiest way to get LogMeIn installed on a clients PC without revealing my account details. I would like to add the new clients PC to my list of excising PC's. I'm unable to do an onsite installation.

LogMeIn has lost the plot.

Go for TeamViewer instead. You can set it up with a static password and ID or use the TeamViewerQS download.

Its easy enough to give a client directions over the phone to download TeamViewerQS. I use it all the time.

This OR if you are like me and swear by LogMeIn, do you possibly have a subscription to LogMeIn Central? If you do, you can do a deployment through the admin interface. If you do not have Central and have not yet got a trial for it, apply for a free trial and generate installation links. Probably the easiest.

I noticed that if you log in and click on "add computer", the file that downloads can be run once and does not seem to prompt for anything other than access code (if the target PC is not on a domain) and proxy. Obviously this can be useful if you only have one PC to put it on, otherwise you will have to download E.g. 3 copies of the file, and send each user a unique link to one of the files. But also not sure if this works all the time - E.g. if there are time limits etc.

If you are really feeling adventurous, get them to fire up TeamViewerQS, log in via TV, then install LogMeIn yourself on each PC :p

I agree with this, TeamViewer is extremely simple to use and its free.

I highly recommend it

PS: No account has to be made to use it, just install on both PC's (Host and Client) and the client must give you there ID and password. :)

I only have one issue with TeamViewer. If you have to frequently access multiple PC's, you get the warnings about "commercial use suspected", which eventually leads to sessions auto-disconnecting after 5 mins. Then you have to wait 2 minutes to be able to connect for another 5 mins. And the paid versions are quite expensive, for the average Joe.

That is basically the only reason I still use LogMeIn.

For some reason I could not get the deployment option to work where you sent the client the link and it adds the PC automatically. At the moment I request users to download Teamviewer and then I complete the Installation myself or I change my login details to temp details i can provide the client with. My issue with Teamviewer is that I need assistance from the client in order to log in? I use both but prefer LogMeIn. I like the voice over IP option in the Teamviewer Android App.
