Just got an sms containing my client code that I must deposit a payment of R450.59 into their account within 24 hours.

LOL!

Our decoder and dish haven't even been installed yet (bought 1st May). Service not activated.

Are they enjoying some MaryJane up there? :D ;) :p

R450.59? That sounds fishy. Especially when their most expensive package is only R270. :confused:
I got an sms to pay R180, with my client code, but no bank details. Did you get account details in the sms?

Yes,

I just popped a very comedic email through to about 6 or 7 ODM and TopTV accounts I've scavenged so far.

You know I spent R200 airtime so far on TopTV and Installers (that don't even care or want to offer installation).

Thing is. It's the exact client code that TopTV gave me. My first name is a general name, but I have a completely different spelling than the norm. They spelled it wrong in the sms and there is NOT an account in the sms. (I'll edit OP). They just ask for deposit of R450,59

It's them. I doubt it's a scam.

I was quite frustrated earlier in the week, or last week. I let it rip in this forum. My lady and lovely soul mate calmed me down and I let it go. But this?

Ja I just got a sms for my first payment that is due of R374.48 only got it activated on tuesday:confused: looks like their billing system is not to grand

MTN? Did the yellow aliens invade TTV? :D ;) :p!!!

Expect an apology at 3am to 5am in the morning then! I got my Watch it and pay SMS from MTN last night after 00:00. I lol'd so hard I couldn't sleep for a while! ;) :D :p

It seems they want you to pay in advance for the second month.......

Maybe their billing system is not messed - maybe they changed their terms or something.

Maybe people decided to cancel the first month already

Same here...plus wot about paying pro-rata for 1st month from when you activated??
