Long distance truck drivers

Anybody here doing it and what do they get paid? Did it years ago.
Is thinking of doing it again maybe. See the country and out of the workshop / office.

Average between R8-12000 per month. Some get around R15000 (the real long distance drivers), and the cross border guys as high as R27000. Single driver salary usually higher, cost to company plays a role when it's two drivers per vehicle.

I'd love to do something like this for a year or two. It's a huge thing in Aus with having to cover vast distances.

Remember seeing a doccie about them. Most of them are STD and HIV ridden because of all the sextrepreneurs they pick up on their long journeys.
