Haven't been here in a while. Here is a shot I took about 2 weeks ago.

That is really awesome. Any chance hooking us up with a bigger pic? Would love to add as a wallpaper.

This was a 140 second exposure, ISO 100 and F16

Check out my signature, you should be able to get a bigger version at my Flickr

No, this was taken during the day. With the 10 stop filter you can easily get 60 - 100 second exposures on sunny days.

but where the heck did all that mist come from if it was taken during the day? Or was it the sea spray, and because of the long exposure it looks like mist.

Krypty, kewl pic! Are u using the lee big stopper filters? Need to get me sum!!!

I took this the other day in Hermanus, 30 sec exposure. Had to do it just before sunset of course...

Awesome shot.

I use the screw in B&W ND110 filter. Some people complain about color cast, but then I must have a good copy.
I will still one day get myself a Big Lee Stopper

The mist you see on the photo is actually the normal waves, because of the long exposure you get that milky look.
I have done shots in the range of 800 - 1000 seconds and then the ocean looks completely white.

Nice shots! One day I will get myself a decent SLR.

Do you perhaps have a link for that filter? How much did you pay for it?
