Long Strike plates for door locks?

Has anybody else had this problem before?

bought a house, all door handles dont have keys and looks very sad, strike plate missing from every door frame, i go to builders, buy new door handles with locks and strikeplates included ofcourse for the house, try to install and realize the strike plate that comes with the door handles are way too short vertically, the problem is they all look the same short length for the off the sheft handles

is this house old with some outdated spec of strikeplate? is there somewhere specific i might be able to go buy the correct size?

Are they like these? The longer ones are more typical in aluminium doors but I've seen them elsewhere.

the one you get with the handles are 100mm long, these long one i have measures in at 125mm

the alu ones almost look too long in the pics

I struggled to get strikeplates as well, our house has the older/cheap metal frame around the door, not sure if you have the same but I managed to get some at Brights hardware. Still had to cut and wangle them a bit though

thanks, i dont have a brights near me in centurion but ill frequent some local hardwares to see if i can find, good to know it can be found loose, thats all the morivation i need
